Councillor Martin Booth
Martin is Cabinet Member for Economic Development on Broadland District Council. He was elected to the District Council in May 2023, and serves as Deputy Leader of the Labour Group.
Martin is a registered osteopath, practicing in Norwich from 1976 to 2015. He opened the Norfolk Clinic in 1982, offering complementary medicine.
He was a Norfolk County Councillor from 1989 to 2001. During this time, he was a board member on all companies owned by the Council - including serving as Chair of Norse Environmental Waste Services (NEWS). He also served as Deputy Leader of the Labour Group, Vice-Chair of the Education Committee, Chair of the Value for Money Committee, and Chair of the Audit Committee.
