Councillor Alistair Beales

Alistair is Leader of the Borough Council of King's Lynn and West Norfolk. Born and raised in Norfolk, he has lived in West Norfolk since 1999.

He was elected to the Borough Council in May 2023, and was previously a councillor between 2007 and 2019. During that time, he held many cabinet roles including that of Deputy Leader. He was responsible for the initiation and delivery of the Council's Major Housing Project.

Alistair previously worked in agriculture and land management. This included 24 years in a senior management role at a 3,000-acre farming and property business.

He is a governor at Springwood High School, and previously served as local parish councillor for over two decades.
